Stone Scout

Terms of use

Last updated: October 18, 2026

By using Stone Scout you agree to these terms. JoB Orange Marketing ("we") provides the app.

What the app does, and what it does not

Stone Scout gives estimates about what a rock, mineral or gem might be, based on a photo. It can be wrong. It is for curiosity, education and hobby use. It does not give valuations, appraisals, safety or legal advice. Before you buy, sell, insure or rely on any identification, ask a qualified expert or a recognized gem laboratory.

Safety

Some minerals are hazardous to handle, cut, heat or breathe as dust. Safety notes in the app are general information. Follow them, use common sense, and keep minerals away from children and pets. Do not cut, grind, burn or taste unknown specimens. Check local rules before collecting rocks, fossils or meteorites, especially on public or protected land.

No medical or healing claims

Birthstones, zodiac stones and stories about stones are traditions and beliefs. They are not scientific facts and are not medical advice.
